Ginina Biondini is a multimedia, fiber sculptor currently living and working out of Southeast Louisiana. She earned her BA in Visual Art and Design from Southeastern Louisiana University with a focus in printmaking and sculpture. Throughout her work, she primarily engages with ideas of loss regarding her childhood memories of family, familiar places, and her inner most struggles. She longs to find a way to exist in the spaces between this life, her obsolete form, and the spiritual essence within that never dies. She views these whereabouts as opportunities to revisit and reconnect with all the versions of self that exist in her one being. Her creations act as infinite, window-like mirrors, thereby allowing the viewers to see into the curious and eclectic realms that lie beneath our surface. Her work has been included in galleries across Southern Louisiana including the Dane Ledet Gallery in 2022, the Southeastern Louisiana Contemporary Art Gallery ranging from 2023 to 2024, and the LA Tech SOD Galleries. Biondini was also recognized for two outstanding achievements in the sculpture department in 2024 at Southeastern Louisiana University and received the first place grant by the Helis Foundation for her participation in the Louisiana Contemporary, held at the Ogden Museum of Southern Art. Her work has also traveled North to be shown in the Main Street Arts Gallery located in New York State.
